Trip Overview

Annapurna Base Camp trekking is one of the popular and classic treks which is relatively short and can be completed within a week. The Annapurna Base Camp trek starts either from Nayapool or Phedi and takes us to the Base Camp of the Annapurna South. The view along the trails is magnificent. During Annapurna trekking, we can observe and experience Gurung culture, one of the ethnic groups of hills. Walking slowly and passing through terraced farms, we reach Machhapuchare base camp. Some of the best Nepal's diversity is compressed into less than two weeks of walking. The huge south face of Annapurna (8090 m.) provides an impressive backdrop, while the closeness of 10 peaks over 6000 m. is pure joy and a superb highlight of this spectacular trek. With its amazing views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli, it is a great place to spend a day or two. The accommodation is totally in a tea house. Here are the numbers of lodges and hotels available. We return to Phedi and catch our vehicle for Pokhara.

Even Trekking Marathon can be organized in the Annapurna region due to its convenient trail, sufficient tea houses, and of course short one. Jugal Himal trekking has been organizing marathon trekking for the last few years for college students and hikers too.

Ghorepani Poon hill trekking, Ghandruk Village tour, Gurung cultural tour, Modi Khola Chhomrong excursion, and hot spring bathing are a few exciting features of this trekking. Annapurna trekking has got several trekking areas such as Tilicho lake trekking, Annapurna Circuit trekking, Jomsom Muktinath tour, Rhododendron tour in spring, Honey hunting tour and so many cultural and adventurous treks are organized regularly.
