Upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring the bustling city of Kathmandu or relaxing at your hotel.
After breakfast, we will start your day with a guided tour of Kathmandu city. We will visit some of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites including the ancient Swoyambhunath Stupa, the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the Bouddhanath Stupa, and the Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening, you will have a briefing session with your tour guide about your upcoming tour to Lhasa.
We will take an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa. Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport, we will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Lhasa. The rest of the day is at your leisure to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude.
Today, we will start your exploration of Lhasa with a visit to the magnificent Potala Palace, the former residence of the Dalai Lama. You will also visit the Jokhang Temple, the most sacred temple in Tibet, and Barkhor Street, a bustling market area where you can find traditional Tibetan handicrafts.
Today, you will visit two important monasteries in Lhasa: The Drepung Monastery, one of the largest monasteries in Tibet, and the Sera Monastery, known for its lively debates among the monks.
Today, we will embark on a scenic drive to Gyantse, passing by the turquoise waters of Yamdrok Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in Tibet. In Gyantse, you will visit the Gyantse Kumbum, a unique multi-storied structure that houses thousands of images of Buddha. we will then continue tour to Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet.
Today, we will visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama, one of the most important religious leaders in Tibet. After the visit, we will continue your drive towards the Everest Base Camp, enjoying the spectacular views of the Himalayas.
Today, we will visit the Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world, located at an altitude of 4,980 meters. From there, you will hike to the Everest Base Camp, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world.
Today, we will drive back to Shigatse, retracing your route from the previous day
Today, we will drive back to Lhasa, enjoying the scenic beauty of Tibet along the way.
Today, we will take a flight from Lhasa to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.
The tour ends today. one of our office representatives will assist you to transfer from the hotel to the airport before the three hours of the flight.
