Today, you will visit some of the iconic landmarks of Kathmandu, including the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Swoyambhunath Stupa (also known as Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Bouddhanath Stupa. These sites are renowned for their rich cultural and religious significance in Nepal. In the evening, you will have a briefing about your Lhasa tour and the necessary arrangements.
Today, you will fly to Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet. The flight will take approximately 90 minutes and offers you stunning aerial views of the Himalayan range. Today, you will embark on a scenic drive from Lhasa to Shigatse, visiting some of the popular landmarks on the way. You will stop at Yamdrok Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in Tibet, and Gyantse, a historic town renowned for its unique architecture and art. You will also visit the Gyantse Kumbum, a large stupa known for its intricate artwork. Finally, you will arrive at Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet, where you will spend the night.
Today, you will drive back to Lhasa, stopping at some of the popular landmarks on the way. You will visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery, which is the largest monastery in Shigatse and the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama. You will also visit the Sakya Monastery, one of the most important monasteries in Tibet, known for its unique architecture and art. Finally, you will arrive back in Lhasa, where you will spend the night.
Today, you will fly back to Kathmandu, marking the end of your Tibet tour. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will transfer you to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the streets of Kathmandu.
