Trip Overview

Ganesh Himal is a sub-range of Himalayas in north-central Nepal. This is one of the isolated and less visited regions. The highest peak of the Ganesh Himal range is Yangra (Ganesh I), 7422m. There are other three peaks above 7000m and fourteen other peaks also. The name ‘Ganesh’ comes from the famous Hindu deity – the God of fortune and well-being – with an elephant head. Ganesh IV, known as Pabil Peak, resembles the elephant head with a ridge like a tusk.

Ganesh Himal is still an unexplored remote area of Dhading District which is borderline to Tibet. Tamangs are the main inhabitants of this region. The cultural heritage, hospitality, and natural beauty of this region attract you without any notice.

Throughout the trek, we will observe diverse cultural practices in the hills as well as in the valleys. Scattered villages in the hills seem like a small chunks of beautiful flowers. The greenery, dense forest, waterfall, and river make it more natural and glowing. The trek is camping tented trek as there are almost no lodges and hotels available. Even, a homestay package can be arranged to experience the mountain lifestyle. We explore the oldest Gompa and community centers to know more about the culture and tradition.

As we trek along the way, we'll get to experience the local culture, meet the friendly locals, and enjoy the stunning mountain views. You'll cross the Sing la pass, which provides breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. We'll also have the chance to visit Shertung (Chalish), Neber Gaon, Kupchyat, Lapa Gaon, Jharlang (Ungul), and Khaniyabas, and spend time in these unique and picturesque villages.

Finally, the trek concludes with a descent to Jyamrung Bazar and a drive back to Kathmandu, followed by a full day of city sightseeing before your final drop-off at the airport.

It's worth noting that this itinerary is flexible and can be customized to fit your individual needs and preferences. The final cost of the trek will depend on factors such as the hotel category, transportation options, and other facilities that you prefer for this trip.
